Porto # 104
NORTHERN VIRGINIA

  International Order of Alhambra

Porto Caravan No. 104 was chartered in 1956. It is an active Caravan in the International Order of Alhambra with a membership of about 100. Porto Caravan, in keeping with the purposes of the International Order of Alhambra, is dedicated to assisting persons with developmental disabilities due to mental retardation, and to memorializing important places in Catholic history. It is located in the Commonwealth of Virginia environs of the Nation's Capital. Any male practicing Catholic who is 18 years of age or older is eligible to apply for membership.

Members of the International Order of Alhambra are given the title "Sir Noble" after participating in an initiation ceremony. Wives, daughters and lady friends of Sir Nobles are titled "Sultanas." The Sultanas of Porto Caravan No. 104 support and assist the projects and programs undertaken by the Caravan.

Porto Caravan is proud of its members and their Sultanas. Their dedication and effectiveness in providing assistance and support to persons developmentally disabled by mental retardation are extraordinary. Check our Service and Support page for examples of how Porto Caravan helps God’s Special People.
